NORTHERN LANDS, LAND OF FIGHTS

The association "Terres du Nord, Terre de Combats" aims to promote the duty of remembrance, of the scars left by the two world wars on the industrial and migratory past of the Hauts de France region.

Its ambition is to have a local, national and international influence.

Convinced that "History is passed on", the association is committed to transmitting the rich memory of the Hauts de France Region to everyone. Our association aims to offer you a panorama of the high places of memory and to pay tribute to all these men and women who have come from all over the world to give their lives so far from home.

 

  • Creation and management of a website to present all the actions of the association.

  • Realization of photographic reports of memory sites.

  • Creation of a searchable database on the website listing the places visited by theme.

  • Production of video animations to present the remembrance sites present in the Region and beyond (Belgium).

  • Possibility of offering services in the form of Discovery and Educational Packs.

  • Creation   of a traveling exhibition.

  • Possibility of offering services and travel.

  • Promote the actions implemented by communities or other associations in connection with the duty of memory.

  • Development of exchanges, particularly with foreign interlocutors.

  • Being in contact with foreign authorities for remembrance sites related to the two world wars (ABMC-CWCG-THE VIMY FONDATION-VOLKSBUND)
